Even if you aren’t a fan of oatmeal raisin cookies I guarantee you’ll fall in love with these. Chocolate makes everything better!
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 sticks softened butter
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 cups rolled oats
- 1 1/2 cups raisins (if you want)
- 1 bag chocolate chips
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Prepare baking sheets with parchment paper
- Whisk the flour, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt together in a medium bowl
- Beat the butter on medium speed until creamy (by hand or with an electric mixer). Add the sugars; beat until fluffy (about 3 minutes). Beat in the eggs, one at a time.
- Stir the dry ingredients into the butter-sugar mixture. Stir in the oats, raisins (if using) and chocolate chips
- Roll the dough into balls. Place the balls on prepared baking sheets.
- Bake 22-25 minutes (until cookie edges turn golden brown)
