






Ingredients:
Cookie
- 2 sticks butter softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 5 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
Frosting
- 1 ½ sticks butter softened
- 6 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¾ teaspoon vanilla
- ¾ teaspoon almond extract
- 6 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons heavy cream
- Food coloring (desired color)
Directions:
Cookie
- Heat oven to 350º and prepare a cookie sheet by spraying with non-stick spray
- In an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes)
- Add eggs (mixing after each added egg)
- Mix in vanilla
- In a separate bowl whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda
- Add dry mixture to the wet mixture and mix until just combined
- Spread cookie dough onto the greased baking sheet
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are light golden brown
- Remove from the oven and let cool completely
Frosting
- In an electric mixer, mix butter and cream cheese until smooth and creamy
- Add vanilla and almond extracts and blend
- Add powdered sugar 1-2 cups at a time until combined
- Add milk a little at a time and mix until smooth
- Spread over cooled cookie bar
